Langham Place Surgery as part of the Royal Parks PCN are proud and privileged that by working collaboratively with The Pines surgery, Queensway Medical Centre and Kingsthorpe Medical Centre will be in the first wave of the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme roll out.
In this first wave each network will be given 975 vaccines. The specific requirement for us will be to offer vaccines to patients over 80 years of age who are able to come to our designated site at Kingsthorpe Medical Centre NN2 7JN. Patients who are in Care Homes or housebound will be contacted separately.
We will be vaccinating from the time of delivery w/c 14th December 2020 through to 18:30 Friday 18th December.
Each surgery is currently contacting eligible patients to book these appointments. We have more than 2000 patients in this age group and unfortunately we won’t be able to offer this to everyone in the first instance, we are prioritising those most vulnerable and who can be contacted quickly to ensure we use all doses that are made available to us.
We ask that you do not contact your surgery to check on deliveries but wait for a message about booking.
The second dose of vaccination for the first group of patients will be in the first week of January. We hope then to receive further batches and will contact the other patients aged over 80 when we have more information about future deliveries.
We aim to vaccinate our entire over 80s population before the end of January 2021.
